That's about an 18 mile day and I feel like dying. I just ate a big bowl of pasta. I have a heat rash on both ankles and my hay fever went out of control today. It felt like I kept swapping one pain for another pain all day long.
Highlights were the wine fountain and running into some friends on the trail unexpectedly. Oh, and the cute animals that distracted me from my misery. I barely landed in a bed tonight which was a little stressful. The pharmacist helped me get some allergy pills and tomorrow I will hopefully take it easy.
Why do I punish myself like this?
I'm sad I'll miss Billy Strings back home. You guys better rage.
I'm sorry it was a rough day... don't worry we will rage on the lawn this weekend for you! The flowers are out of control beautiful now in portland.. Eben and went on a walk this morning and thought of you- rock star-ing it walking crazy amount of miles...even in the harder times, so proud of you and what you are accomplishing! YOu got this!! ( also love the wine fountain- does wine come from it, or just dedicated to the wine makers?) sending big hugs and love ( and a foot rub!)
ReplyDeleteWine comes out the spout. It's an old tradition for the original pilgrims. I put my hand under it and drank and basically got a wine facial. Ha ha. Delicious!
